India-Japan Energy Forum was held on December 6th and 7th in New Delhi, India, organized as the first forum with public-private sector participation from India and Japan, and brought to a close with the great success.
The forum was attended by Senior Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry from the Japanese side and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission from the India side. The number of participants reached some 300, representing the two governments as well as leading companies including manufacturers, trading houses and research institutions in various fields from energy to steel & iron and cement. The attendance of so many high-class officials from the two countries exemplifies the great interest in and solid support for the importance of energy cooperation shared by the two countries.
